An updated assessment of aircraft loss/damage from yesterday, shot down 1 F-15, 1 A-10, several UAVs, 2 MH-60 damaged (one possibly crash landed from other sources), KC-135 and F-16 Skuawk 7700.
In addition, Babak Taghvaee says the second F-15 pilot is presumed dead (did not eject) so CSAR is cancelled.
He also says 2 A-10 were lost yesterday, not just one.
Finally, he says more than one CH-47 were destroyed on the ground by FPVDs (2, possibly 3 judging by images?)
In addition, it confirmed an earlier NBC report that two U.S. Black Hawk helicopters involved in the search-and-rescue effort were also hit by Iranian fire. The Post added that the attack “injured U.S. personnel on board, though both aircraft have safely returned to their base.”
As we noted earlier in this story, The New York Times reported that an A-10 was shot down, while Fox said that was inaccurate.
Neither the Pentagon nor CENTCOM has responded to requests for comment.
