The American forces that were in contact with IRGC elements in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province were not US Army, but almost certainly USAF.

They're the ones typically responsible for recovering downed American military aircrews, especially if the downed pilot or pilots are USAF too.

The formation captured in the photo above — which has been going around the last couple of hours — is likely a HC-130J and two HH-60Ws belonging to the 1st Expeditionary Rescue Group.

It's somewhat surprising that the Iranians didn't attempt to down many more of these American CSAR assets with MANPADs to discourage any further CSAR attempts. They are pretty much hugging the terrain.

In fairness, i guess it's not possible to have MANPADS teams everywhere, though i understand that local tribesmen were firing at the planes with their weapons. Further unconfirmed claims say Iran captured at least one pilot.

Iran is biiiiiiiiiig the area they are searching in is far from any big city too, only local tribe people with small arms are there.

I'm sure they would if they could, the area is vast and I suspect Iranians may not have the means to rapidly transport their troops arround besides ground vehicle. I won't be surprised if the locals got to the pilots first

Unconfirmed reports by Nour News (close to Iran’s SNSC) says the reason why an account affiliated with Iran’s IRGC posted the F-15 ejected seat was to lure in US forces. It says IRGC ground forces commandos have already found both the pilots, which also explains why US search&rescue operation has a difficult time finding the pilot(s). Nour News says it cannot independently verify this report. Other (very) unconfirmed reports have also stated the one or both pilots have been captured by the IRGC. According to Iran’s State TV, the pilots statuses are unknown

If they are the pilots of the targeted F-15 shown yesterday, then it's 12 hours since.
