At this point the KMT would pretty much represent the people of Kinmin and Matsu islands who thankfully haven't sold their soul but can't say the same with Taiwan island.

We pretty much have to accept reality that TW people are pretty much throughly desinoized and should now view them as the enemy or traitors/hanjian.

It's pointless to have any expectations of a party that's still in opposition and doesn't even have a unified opinion internally.

The meeting with this so-called KMT chairman was merely a formality, and the CPC may have been trying to prove through this action that it had done its best for peaceful reunification. In fact, the CPC had indeed done its best.

KMT can't even agree on a name these days, have you seen their latest rebranding in an attempt to look young and hip?

I wonder how the Taiwanese must feel right now in regards to a leader that isnt governing Taiwan for the sake of Taiwan but rather for the sake of Japan and the US

All of this is thanks to the KMT and the DPP's century-long propaganda campaign to vilify the CPC.

Many young Taiwanese people believe that communism is a monstrous threat, while they themselves represent freedom and democracy. For the sake of "freedom and democracy," they are willing to be lackeys of the US and Japan.
As long as they receive a single word of praise from Western media, no matter how much Taiwan loses, they consider it all worthwhile. This is a typical symptom of being spiritually colonized.

Apparently Taiwan got triggered hard by South Korea's e-Arrival card system lists Taiwan as “China (Taiwan)”. So if it doesn't correct it, Taiwan will name it as "South Korea” rather than the “Republic of Korea”. Taiwan has also been getting into fights with other countries over this stuff.

I really don't get what Taiwan is trying to do here. Doesn't it realize its just an Island with a large semiconductor company? Its not in a position to act like this. All its gonna do is piss off people who are sympathetic to it so when its time for reunification, they will just say Taiwan deserved it.

If Japan started calling China as Shina (支那) again as they did in WW2 instead of Chugoku (中国), it would be considered deeply offensive and ethnic slur. It has deeply negative connotations and is associated with Japanese superiority , colonization, and imperialism during First and Second Sino-Japanese wars.

For Japan to call China as 中国 instead of 支那 is one of the practical outcomes of WW2.

Didn’t Tibetan exiles complain about Tibet being referred to as Xizang instead of Tibet which is exonym for Bod which is the actually Tibetan word. Basically the Tibetan exiles ironically know nothing about Tibet.
