Now that looking back - Honestly, this incident exhibits the degree of discipline cultivated in the JSDF (which is rather poor).

Considering the popularization and normalization of anti-China + anti-Chinese sentiments across all strata of the Japanese civilian populace (let alone the military) - I wouldn't be surprised if there are group(s) within the lower levels of the JSDF who are eager to outright igniting the Third Sino-Japanese War, similar how to the lower-level and mid-level officers of the IJA triggered the Mukden Incident and the subsequent invasion of Manchuria without Tokyo's knowledge and authorization.

Remember that Suzutsuki DDG's intrusion into Chinese territorial waters near Zhejiang back in July 2024? If the reporting by the Japanese side is factual, then the captain went rogue. And with comments by some Japanese on the news that the Suzutsuki should open fire at CCG and PLAN vessels that are intercepting the ship, I believe that such thoughts certainly aren't limited to the civilian populace.

I'd say that China must be extra diligent and careful when dealing with the fanaticism-infested JSDF.
Endgame is the Soviet approach to dealing with Japanese aggression, and nothing less.

I worked for an NGO that helps those desperate underage girl to give them free shelter and food so they don’t need to sell themselves.
Most of them have serious mental problems and suffered sexual abuse in the childhood from family members so they run out abandoning their home.
Is familial sexual abuse a big problem in Japan?

I would say it is a very serious problem.

The total victmization rate of underage is 16.5%, if we only consider underage victim suffered intercourse sexual abuse, the number would be 2.2%. 12% of the crime were commited by relatives, so it's about 0.264% of all underages suffered from sexual penetration by family members.

If you consider excessive body touch that includes unvoluntary body touching, kissing, touching the genitalia and body fluids by relatives, the number would rise to an astonishing 1%.

That means there are at least 150,000 children has suffered from some type of physical familial sexual abuse in Japan.

What numbers do we talk about, is it some unfortunate or several thousands.

When I was working for the NGO, we receive about 30-50 requests for help in the region everyday. That's only a tip of the iceberg, considering there are more than one NGO working on this field and the fact most of the victims would't or can't stand up for asking for help.
