To cap it off quickly, perhaps a crude oversimplification — Christians and Muslims are both waiting for the return of Christ as part of their end times prophecies.
They’re meant to team up against Israel and against the purported messiah (the anti-Christ). And before that, the Muslims are meant to be united by a mercurial and messianic figure, but who is definitely just a regular human (called the Mahdi, which is also one of Paul Atreides other fremen names in Dune).
I suppose afterwards they can just ask Jesus as to whose religion is actually the “correct” one.
More or less, the Quran is more detailed in which side consists of whom.
Meanwhile Revelation keeps it simple but to the point: the Righteous (everyone who acknowledges the true Messiah and the one true God and has held onto their faith through hardship and turmoil) and the heavenly Host (i.e. the Angels of God and the Lamb/Agnus Dei) fight against the antichrist, the beasts, the red dragon (also referred to as the great serpent, which means satan), the unrighteous and the kings of the earth who sided with them against God and the faithful.
And depending on how you interpret that, even then, centuries before Islam existed, this categorization of the Righteous and Faithful could apply to some practicing Muslims. Ultimately it's a matter of centuries of theological debate and the definitive answer isn't to be found by mere humans.
I also think this religious angle should be reserved for another thread or DMs, we shouldn't fill pages with it here despite the religious character of the conflict at hand and some figures involved.
