Considering the amout of bases and cucks they have in the area, might as well be next door to the US. Lack of interceptors and stand off munition wouldn't make much of a difference if you were right next to the US.

The issue the Russian scale of manpower, industrial base and so on is next door to Ukraine. Like I said before this war even started, this bases where vulnerable from day one and not country in the region is putting their full manpower at the expense of Israel and even if, they don´t have military industrial base, thanks to their dependency on the US. The bases have become basically useless now, no radar no defense, just sitting ducks.
