I finally wraped my head around the problem with the Iranian warship shinking.

It's not that hard to understand. An armed warship was heading back to reinforce their country at war. Thus, as an adversary, it was to be sunk at the next best opportunity.

I don't know why people have a hard time understanding that warships are targets, especially for submarines. Compared to schools, neighborhoods, hospitals and the likes, this is actually a fully justifiable action and the Americans would have been foolish to not sink the ship. Warfare is neither kind, nor fair nor particularly moral. Rules of Engagement and Conventions are a joke and everyone disregards them as soon as it suits them.

I'm also not surprised at all that there was no attempt to rescue the shipwrecked. Especially as it's a submarine, what are they going to do? Invite hostile combatants into bowels of their nuclear submarine? Exposing their position? No, they launched, they sunk, they disappeared.

The real shock (or to some of us, including myself not so shocking) was that India presumably lured them away from Iran, knowing about a US presence and ignoring the SOS calls, leaving the Sri Lankan authorities to respond and rescue the survivors.

In theory, they should, even if it's just throwing some lifebuoys,

But f course, we've long had a clear understanding of the US military's moral standards: 0

Apparently, there is chaos inside Israel atm,

  1. Reservists refusing to serve, citing Netanyahu fled the country.
  2. Mistrust in safety and government after AD fail.
  3. Bunkers are overcrowded, shortage of food & medicine; occupants are fighting each other for resources (this is a no-brainer; i mean what could go wrong if you crammed a nation full of psychopaths in bunkers?).
  4. Extremist groups are arming themselves and making decisions independent of the government.
  5. Police clashing with protesters.
  6. Hezbollah's attacks have forced the northern residents to flee their homes; many internally displaced.
  7. 200 buildings have been destroyed by Irani attacks (no idea what the source is).

Under what possible reasons Iran did not publish their claims of downing 2 F-15s? They have published their downing of Israelis and US drones almost rigorously and not a single downing of a fighter jet?

In theory yes, but in practice I doubt any submarine commander anywhere would do this nowadays.

That's what I was alluding to, there are many things that shouldn't be done according to many pieces of paper, but reality is ultimately completely different.
