I doubt the Kurds would rise up in Iran; first of all Iran's ruling ideology isn't Persian nationalism like Arab nationalism in Syria and Iraq nor Turkish nationalism in Turkey. Secondly their culture is closer to Iran's than that of Arabs or Turks and they are in fact an "Iranic" group

I just search about what Democratic party of Iranian Kurdistan was and it was some tiny group with 1000 followers on instagram but with western support. They do not represent most Kurds.

Trump's plan to use Iranian Kurds as ground force is taking shape. Kurds are being armed and working closely with CIA. They are planning for a ground operation in western Iran.

F18 is a very capable jet. With armreams they are very deadly.

Kurds are bunch of unemployed peasants with nothing to do with their lives. Yes they will take your money, but they are not going to get kill for you. They will take your money, and fled at the first sign of real combat.

we can question iranian's soldier's combat effectiveness. but they are defending their own home from invasion. Iranians will be more willing to fight than kurds.

Not going to comment on the strike, but I think it's a given at this point that Iran is receiving very good and up to date intel from some powerful countries with a lot of beef with the US.

This is unironically big if true. People were doubting if Iran can close 30km of waterway. If instead they prove they can reach out and hit a pair of ships 650km out that's a game changer. So far signs are pointing to a lot of validty to the claim. If either of those ships are sunk it's a sinking of Moskva level event.

While I think it’s pretty plausible that China is providing some ISR assistance China’s humint in the Middle East is pretty poor so if the intel looks like humint it’s probably Russia since they’re the ones with the legacy intelligence infrastructure in the region.
