There is a distinct possibility that there are infact consequences to having a government with zero competence in anything.

I'm sure they're already tapping black market channels and commercial fraud through intermediaries as much as possible to get supplies.

No one said it was a well thought out plan or that it will work, just seems on brand for the complete lack of general planning beyond the initial strike the Trump administration has and why every US government official seems to be running around like headless chickens in a panic

Because there is no plan, there was no planning. I can bet money that most of the intelligence that US received from Israel was either faulty, biased or alright lies. The Israelis look down at Muslims, Sunni and Shias alike, they either see them as barbaric or incompetent. Every intelligence collected is with that bias. That fact they still think that killing a commander or some politician will have an effect is telling.

I'm sure they tried but, contrary to western belief, it is infact possible to have a government that's competent and properly enforce export restrictions.

I think it's worthwhile to point out that, Iran's distributed and compartmentalized defence strategy where different groups operate independently can only be made possible with an extremely strong sense of national unity, something I suspect Israel with their nature can't even imagine.

Let suppose that the insanity take over and the US decided to do a ground invasion, US soldiers already going to the fight demoralized while the Iranians are willing to fight to the death.

Honestly people who don't work in certain industries have no idea just how pathetic American/Western manufacturing is.
