Looks like Trump is ready to taco but the Iranians decide to fight on. If this turns out to be true I'm having a new respect for the Iranians, maybe they're not all cucks after all

I think Iran has to keep fighting in order to pressure the Americans to back off once and for all. The only real currency they have right now is hitting the Gulf states, closing Hormuz and the Red Sea, and messing with the stock market, basically do serious damage in order to establish serious deterrence, maybe buy enough time to make the god damned bomb already?

Iran was given an opportunity to have Russia help on building an air defense system.

They basically said no.

Now they can see the end result of their stupidity. They don’t trust Russia or China but have ridiculous amount of faith in being conned for the 100th time by the ones trying to kill them. The people whining about China and Russia doing nothing don’t understand that Iran literally does not want them to help. You can’t help someone who doesn’t want it.

No one is saying China should send the PLA to Iran and defeat the US and its proxies. But arms shipments will significantly weaken the US and help the PLA gather intelligence on its own forces in real combat. Exercises are one thing, but a real war is quite another. And damaging or sinking aircraft carriers is an automatic blow to Trump and anyone who believes in the omnipotence of aircraft carriers.

It's all or nothing; that's war. If you half-ass it like the US in the Iraq, you did everything for nothing. Sending a DF (which needs a whole support system) is the definition of half-assing it. If it fails, everyone laughs; if it succeeds, all the masks come off that that missile sank a US carrier. You might as well open strong for WWIII. What does half-assing it have to do with courage?

I really don't get where their confidence comes from. Historically the area of Iran has been subjugated many times by outsiders. More than other nations. Yeah maybe you're better off than Syria but thats not a high bar. Sure Persian culture etc won out. But we are talking a pure hard power battle here. You need to be realistic about your own power so you can make the best decisions. This really isn't time to let pride or whatever cloud your judgement.

Now come to think, all these SAM interception video (both in Ukraine and middle east) shows them fire at targets very close (in vision range only 10-20 seconds to impact). How come we don't see videos showing SAM salvos fired into vast sky far away like in those Burke exercise video.

Speaking about the bomb, wonder if Khamenei's death changes things with the stupid fatwa on nukes. With the hardliners calling the shots, and if they really still have their enriched uranium as they claimed then they may have a shot at the bomb. Even sub weapon grade uranium is enough to make a low yield device, enough to threaten Israel with. I assume with all these years of nuclear research they'd have done most of the prep work in weapon assembly.
