So they cant use nearby ME bases safely anymore they told the brits to let them use cyprus etc instead.
And they just said they will join in actions to target missile storages, that is 'offensive action'

From UK's POV, targeting missile storage will be seen as defensive since Iran fired missiles at UK bases in Cyprus as well as putting British citizens at risk in Gulf countries.

Ah yes, "defensive action".

Only problem is that the countries in the Gulf are already passive participants by hosting the US military carrying out the war of aggression against Iran.
Which is a very strong casus belli for Iran, giving them the right to attack these countries, including establishing a naval blockade.
But let's not pretend about that.

At the end of the day non of that matters though, the populations of these countries are far too chauvinist to care for such things, not supporting a war of aggression is simply incomprehensible to the average European.

At least America was honest when they changed the name of the department of defense to the department of war

Just stupid liberal language, and they said the missile was no where near their base in cyprus, it was prob aimed at israel and got off course. British citizens? Starmer was talking about British military personal in bahrain, why do you have military personal in bahrain starmer...

for all the times the names "Russia", "China" are mentioned in this forum. these two countries are even less relevant in this conflict than Hezbollah. and Hezbollah has been quite irrelevant since Nasrallah's death.

I find it highly unlikely that Iran recieved any significant additional AD systems from Russia or China aside from that S-300 that got delayed multiple times before.

Iran is basically on it's own.

so for all those who keep on saying the Iranians are making military mistakes. remember Iran is on it's own against the number one super power. the same super power that even China is afraid of pissing off if they got Taiwan back. that is why China has to delay the reunification waiting to get big enough for the final showdown with the US over Taiwan.

yes they do. Iran is actually quite industrialized compared to other third world countries. or what? you think because they are brown and muslim so they can't have industries of their own?

It’s fair to call the U.S. has the "strongest" standing military on paper, especially when you’re talking about neutral ground or most regions outside a few specific geographic hotspots.

But calling the U.S. the “number one superpower” in some absolute sense, or claiming China is “afraid” of them, just sounds childish and needlessly provocative, and triggering to me.

It seems the USA have spared tomahawk missiles except the opening salvo. And there are rumors that a new kind of tomahawks with forward-leaning wings and dark coating were used. Testing of upgraded version?

Forward swept wings can help reduce RCS at the cost of worse supersonic performance. Since Tomahawks are subsonic it doesn’t really matter. The dark coating is likewise radar absorbent material applied to reduce RCS.

That's just PR & politics. BBC article didn't mention British citizens. But the article from independent offers more details about British citizens.

This CSG doesn't exist. HMS QE has been undergoing work in the Rosyth Dockyard since last year. HMS Prince of Wales is still in Portsmouth and hasn't deployed to the North Atlantic yet.
