This is an unfair handicap match. You have one side with a major power and a superpower vs a major power. Iran will suffer big time.

On a serious note, in a theoretical sense J-20 has enough combat radius to fly to Tehran on its internal fuel, shoot its missiles and come back to Xinjiang. If in the far future China wanted to project power in Iran, they can do so with J-20, J-16 and also H-6. Future drones and H-20 bomber and J-36 will also have range to fight in the middle-east.
Western theatre command could become the command that focuses on the Middle-east in the far future when China has the strategic desire to start projecting power.
China can literally dominate all of West Asia, Central Asia and Eastern Europe from Xinjiang. They just need the right desire to do so. They already poses platforms that can do it.
