40 senior figures had died? I guess they haven't learned much. At times like this, you cannot go live in your apartment complex. You either stay in a underground command center or mountainous hideout.

Just like last time, Iran is so thoroughly penetrated by Mossad. Khamenei's options are limited. He can't stay in an underground bunker for long without being targeted by multiple bunker busters. Realistically his only chance is to take a few loyal body guards and hide in a random house or a cave somewhere that no one knows about and cut off all communication. But in that case he is not running the country or in command anymore.

According to Trump, Khamenei is dead.
And there is no other source other than israel says about '40 senior dead'

I think this Iran situation will serve as a lesson for militaries around the world that military command and control should be flexible, resilient, and above all, formable by adhoc units when needed.

C&C has to be delegated and lower units should be trained more and, most importantly, equipped with equipment that can flatten command structure and quickly integrate various units when needed

Situation where upper/middle military command is taken out and then C&C and warfighting potential is so diminished is a big vulnerability

As a fan of desalination tech and a believer in its future importance to humanity this hurts my feelings. But alas sacrifices must be made.
This looks like a flooded street not a desalination plant. The actual Sorek desalination plant is not in an urban area. Also, I don't think it makes sense to go counter value at this point except for creating a spectacle in the GCC
