If the GCC states decide to conduct offensive operations against Iran (in conjunction with the American and Isreali forces) in retaliation for Iranian strikes on their soil, then Iran could potentially retaliate in kind by attacking the oil fields and oil refineries located in the GCC states, regardless of whether such operations would put them out of commission for short or long periods of time.
Now that's gonna be the real sh1t hits the fan moment for the rest of the world... (and/or could also serve as a great impetus for Beijing to accelerate its electrification drive throughout the country and finally silence any resistance to such efforts within China, alongside a potentially massive boon for China's exports in the renewable energy domain).
