Pathetic, even from Putin. After all the crap the west have done, they still seek membership in the white supremacism collective? Do they think they can supplant the Anglos as the lead hegemon of the white collective? Europeans like France and Germany will never accept that.

I believe Putin is trolling the relationship between Europe and the US. He was implying that if Europe had a spine, both they and Russia would have had a bigger combined GDP than the US. Hence, a profitable trading relationship.
Putin prefers to have a peaceful working relationship with Europe, as long as Europe behaves. It's the same as China preferring to have a peaceful relationship with Japan, as long as Japan behaves. Europe is still a neighbour to Russia, but currently their interests are dictated by a power across the ocean, and some neo-fascists.
Realistically, Russia is in no mood to embrace Europe anytime soon. Thanks to the Ukraine War, there is no way that Russia is gonna go all-in with the West. They have tried, and it had never worked.
