This is then The Standard Playbook of unnamed sources and anon insiders close to the project (etc) to shape the narrative against China by reinforcing that China "copies", China "steals" - that China is the antithesis to good, moral, successful western values and is therefore "The Enemy"
The last thing they want is for their populace to view China in the same light as say Japan for instance. The moment China is viewed as a beautiful country with fascinating culture and wonderful people, they will not have the popular support required to justify conflicts with China, whether economic or kinetic.
China is going to throttle rare earths exports to the US, especially those for military purposes.

It's a variant of another western classic: China won't want to go to war because everyone's an only child, because apparently in western culture a parent with 2 kids will gladly to send one of them to die because they will believe they still have another left, i.e. children are just a resource to be expended.

Palmer Luckey is an idiot. I thought chauvinist Chinese society only values male lives so shouldn’t they be wasting Chinese women’s lives instead? That’s what Westerners believe so how does this guy come up with idea China would waste the lives they find more valuable? It’s because this guy thinks he’s a genius for coming up with a different twisted angle that no one’s ever heard of.
Just like how he thinks the great battle of the future is underground. How? Because he goes by rules he’s made up in his head just like thinking sexist China means they’d rather sacrifice men because they have too many of them. Where did he get that? He made it up. So what does he envision about underground that makes it so the thing of the future? Does he see dogfights beneath the earth in drilling machines? Or does he think the US can steal everyone’s underground resources because somehow in his mind it’s legal to do it that way? Maybe he thinks the US can sneak attack countries by using nuclear tipped drills. How long will it take to drill to China from the US? Maybe he thinks China can’t use ICBMs to counter his nuke drills before they get there.
Look at the comments on that video of people gushing over him. It’s the same logic of a guy I came across who said he would fly over to the Middle East and tell everyone there that Chinese people eat pork and then Arabs will go crazy and go on a genocidal campaign to kill Chinese around the world. He thought that was a genius plan. Like Islam doesn’t already know that Chinese eat pork and he would be the first to tell them? Like Americans don’t eat “enough” pork themselves that the terrorists they fear more wouldn’t target them hence why he thinks he can turn them towards the Chinese? Here’s a little fact. Westerners eat more meat and kill more animals to feed themselves per capita than the rest of the world combined. I think it’s safe to say Westerners eat more pork than the Chinese. So how does that logic work? Because he thinks everyone likes Westerners more? So radical terrorist Islam that targets the West more now somehow would rather attack Chinese? It’s all about their own internal logic they have that they think everyone else sees that makes so much sense to them.

One of Ayi's idea for AR was instead of sending 056 to CCG, instead rip out all of their weapon main gun included, then fill them from bow to stern with HQ-10 launchers and ring the amphibious assault fleet with those. That's as good of an idea as anything Anduril has, eg:

How long does it take to produce one drone in wartime China? Basically a few minutes since drone production is done in batches and it probably takes a few hours in total for the process.
Guy can't even do math right. Or maybe he can't see it coz it costs 1 gorillion dollars and 5 years to make one simple weapon in America these days.
Btw Americans believed China used human wave tactics during the Korean War when we have literal evidence, that wasn't the case. They also don't know that in the Sino Viet War (the full one, not the one that arbitrarily ends in 1979), China moved from using a large force to using a much smaller one with better weapons.
