There is another major considering for Beijing to not allow Nvidia use in data-centers: it might get a bit hard to make Nvidia chips if PLA blows up TSMC

The far bigger consideration is that any Nvidia chips officially sold to China is almost certainly going to be stuffed full of kill switches and spyware, or even more subtle and malicious features designed to corrupt results and delay Chinese scientific advancement.

Frankly, anyone who wants to use Nvidia chips for commercial applications these days needs their head examined and probably should be retired or barred from any positions of real authority on the basis on mental incapacity.
