China first and foremost is a land power unlike any other, to assume that they could get the endless amounts of 2nd class Chinese forces that would most likely be doing nothing caught up is really silly. China could easily defend all of Russia just by itself.

At the end of the day it's just an article from a sub-lieutenant in the RN. It's fairly obvious that he isn't too acquainted with cross Straits balance of power. He does make a good point though - if the US becomes involved then the conflict will spill over.

Threat removal is a pretty big gain. The US has done more damage around the world than the Japanese. And it's parent - the British Empire may have been even worse. Dismantling of Japan and US presence there is a huge benefit.

But the threat that the US-Japan alliance poses to China specifically is the threat of a war. How does it make any sense to fight a war to remove the threat of war?

A lot of the Japanese people just don’t know about the war time atrocities, I have Japanese family members and they are not taught at school about it, even if somehow they are taught about it, it is glossed over with excuses or denial about the scale of organised geniside.

but from what I have seen, young Japanese girls are more open to learning and accepting Japanese atrocities, that is the sign of hope for the future.

Japan's future does not require their cooperation, infact their future would be better if they don't accept.
The only way for Japan to cease their desire to invade China is a total re-write of their culture, by China.

Reportedly, 7-8 apartments burnt down which is almost ~2,000 apartment units with 4,800 residents. Apparently, 279 individuals remain unaccounted.
