Russia can also produce the non-afterburning AI-222-25. But given the current political environment, the PLA may not be willing to rely on an Russian engine for her own domestic trainer.

Got it ... the TA-20 prototype B-OHFL seen at Dubai.

In fact even if "just" a turboprop trainer I am eager for any news since it could be a good candidate for a basic military trainer aircraft for the PLAAF.
