I thought the Western alliance already did this years ago when they were taunting decoupling with China then changed it to de-risking because they didn't want China to decouple and still buy things from them? Oh yes that was when Europe was all bark and no bite. They didn't rip out Huawei and ZTE from their systems because that would be expensive replacing them. But now they're barking again saying they're really going to do it this time when it will cost even more now in a more dire Europe than ever. Unless they were still relying on Huawei and ZTE to maintain their equipment that was already bought and paid for, what does it do? Again... it's only barking.
I don't know if this is true because it would probably be making more noise on the news if were said exactly in that way especially since the West is spinning Chinese retaliation to their actions as unprovoked aggression. The Chinese don't go around telling everyone they need no one while everyone else needs them. They do that. That's why Europe is trying to desperately make the world think in order to save their legacy and relevancy.
