Chinese Engine Development

I wonder what power class of civilian engine it is? Is it a medium like CJ-1000A (for C919 and other narrow-bodies) or CJ-2000 (for wide-bodies like C929.)

I heard the light CJ-500 for regionals has been shelved so it could a more advanced replacement for that. But the little I heard about the AEF1200 is that it is suppose to be a heavier engine.
AEF-1200 first revealed in 2024 at Zhuhai air show.

AEF-1200/WS-20 and AEF-1300 all are the same machine but with little changes. like AEF-1300 has wide chord composite fan blades with improved BPR.

in super heavy category, there are only two Machines currently under development. CJ-2000A and WS-35.

Isn't the WS-35 just a military derivative of the CJ-2000A or vice versa? Assuming the WS-35 is a high bypass turbofan and not the next gen low bypass turbofan.

I must admit, I find this mix in designations - AEPxxx & WP-XX or AEFxxxx & WS-xx - for so many engines rather confusing! o_O
Could the AEP & AEJ designation come from more commercial oriented english acronym? something like Aero Engine Propeller & Aero Engine Jet?

Meanwhile the WS (Wo Shan - Turbofan) & WP (Wo Pen - Turbojet) designation are the legacy of the old Chinese aero engine industry that was military oriented, and therefore use chinese acronym?
