"Certification Test Adaptability Manufacturing and Installation", apparently a tender related to the certification testing of CJ-1000A, found by SOYO

According to 老王RR涡扇花动机 on Weibo: "CJ1000A has entered the certification testing phase. The first engine built to the design baseline has already rolled off the production line." (1ka 当然进入到取证试验阶段了。第一台设计基线的航发已经下线了)

You should stop citing that account. Dude just regurgitates stuff he scrapes off here.
Noted. I was referring to his "Dude just regurgitates stuff he scrapes off here" quote.

Still though, if what I've posted have already been discussed in the thread/forum before, then I don't see any harm having it seen as a rehash of some kind.

That lei guy is sometimes a bit "late" with what he posts, "n" even "lazy" as well.

How long is certification likely to take?

Quick question. Let's say the CJ-1000a is certified and installed on the C919. Does that make the C-919 sanctions proof? Aren't there a ton of other components on the C-919 that are from foreign companies? And even if they rolled out a prototype of the C-919 with all domestic parts, including engines, tomorrow, dont all new models require an insane amount of flight time for certification? The original C-919 was rolled out in 2017 and it didnt go into service by 2023.

Boeing 777X took first flight in Jan, 2020 but still unable to enter in service and now pushed to 2027.. solid seven years difference despite decades of experience and infrastructure Boeing have.

C919 is the China's first civil aircraft and took 6 years from first flight to enter in service.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
when C919 project initiated, the major goal was to provide Chinese airliners a domestic substitute against Boeing and Airbus and to obtain EASA/FAA certificates. back then China had very good relations with Europe, they even signed an agreement with EU for Civil aviation that both entities facilitate certification process. this was also the major reason to go with international parts/components. at the same time China was also building 200 plus tons strategic airlifter Y-20.. (glass cockpit, electronics/avionics , landing gear system , APU and now high bypass Engines). all supplied by local Chinese companies.

so absolutely zero issue with components and parts manufacturing of C919. the biggest hurdle is certification process. its a time taking and painful process. yes it requires series of testing and evaluation of different parts.

COMAC actually adding domestic substitutes as time goes on.

both Y-20 and Y-8 test bed took couple of flights in last 3 years.. these two modified platforms not only test Engine but also other components. images are available on this thread.

CJ-1000 successfully took couple of test flights. design has freeze and soon Engine to be mounted on C919 for final sprint. America left no choice for China. COMAC likely to replace LEAP engine once CJ-1000 will obtain production certificate.
