A bidding document from Chengdu asking for materials for a third airframe of an unnamed aircraft.

Impossible, whales don’t sleep.

But seriously @Deino will be the best person for them to do a podcast with since he is probably the best informed Western authority in PLAAF evolution. If anything I think their boss Erik Lee will be interested in a podcast about J-36 and Western defense sphere response to it.
I think it’s a good idear. So,which is the podcast. And Deino is the administrator, who is Boss Erik Lee?

Are there any updates/rumours from the chinese grapevine about recent J-36 developments? It seem there have been no test flights for several months, and nowadays the J-50 is stealing the show.

Thank you for the flowers but please not me! In addition, I am convinced that many here would be much better suited for this...

By the way, I'm again in France on vacation, so it would be the ideal time for new sensational revelations like the second J-36, the first flight of the H-20. ...

Saw lyman2003 post this. Not sure if this has been shown before, but not on this thread at least.

You have here a 1.15t hypersonic missile (that looks YJ-19ish) which is 0.5m diameter and 4.6m long. I would think J-36 can fit this pretty easily. Can probably fit two of them in fact.

The section of the screenshotted article (which should be from an academic paper) only mentioned Mach 4. Any further parts from this academic paper which affirms that this is a hypersonic missile?

Also, the stated release altitude for Mach 4 release speed is at 23 kilometers, which is over 75 thousand feet. I kinda doubt this number's veracity (unless the aircraft meant to release this missile isn't the J-36, but something else entirely?)
