I love it. KJ-600 is such a step forward. We already saw 3 operating off CV-18 today.
has anyone done a measurement of the disk on E2D vs KJ-600? I could be wrong here, but I think KJ-600 is larger than E-2D, even if the gap is not huge.
That always helps in terms of range and CAP time and such. As well as power generation. Which really matters when you consider that KJ-600 also has the giant nose radar that helps with tracking targets. high VHF band isn't going to have the best resolution.
And also that CEC antenna on the bottom of the latest KJ-600. I wonder why it needs a dedicated installation there unless that thing also uses up a lot of power. It's kind of crazy to me that you need such a large installation for what essentially is just a super data linking function.
