“The Federal government cannot force ABC to remove this show. The First Amendment of the Constitution protects free speech, even if individuals might personally find it offensive or distasteful. It may be upsetting when people say things we might personally disagree with, but the principle of protected free speech is an important part of who we are as a nation.”

What happened to the principle of protected free speech???

Trump's visit to China is allegedly in the final stages of negotiation.

Two sources with direct knowledge of the negotiations said “significant progress” had been made and both sides were finalising the details. “There are a few small loose ends. But the major blocks are already resolved. Things are taking shape,” said one source, who declined to be named due to the sensitive nature of the talks.

“The deliverables may include a new deal to purchase US goods,” the source said, adding that

were “very likely” on the list.
The source confirmed that China sent a formal state visit invitation to Trump in the first week of September, which usually indicates a state visit is “more or less confirmed” and that planning is in a “very advanced stage”.

Apparently there is a proposal for Trump to ride the HSR to Shanghai?

“There is strong political will from both sides to make it happen. Both sides want to present this major diplomatic event as a big win for their domestic audiences.” Another source said that apart from visiting Beijing, the Chinese side has proposed that Trump take a ride on China’s high-speed rail system to a second city – most likely Shanghai – during the trip.

Beans and planes are the likely purchases, as you'd expect.

US aviation giant Boeing is believed to be in talks with China to sell 500 of its commercial jets to the world’s second-largest aviation market. If the deal happens, it would be the first major Chinese purchase of Boeing planes since Trump’s last term.

Chinese purchases of American soybeans also rank high on the US agenda. In 2024, China imported about 20 per cent of its soybeans from the US, according to Reuters, a decline of 41 per cent from the total in 2016, customs data shows.

MAGA really is having its George Floyd moment right now.
In the end of the day, both the American Woke Liberals and MAGA cultist are two sides of the same coin. It dosen't matter who is charge because their actions towards China would be the same. They both white/euro supramacist in the end with the Liberals being closeted ones.

Not actually, but if the liberals knew this here is what most Chinese think liberals think about them, Then they can start to understand why they can't just virtue signal to them. But instead liberals would rather just say “no we don't” like a 3rd grader without understanding the complexities of the past to try to move past it and change their diplomatic policies, and MAGA will just say that we shouldn't read history and just hate them back. Liberal is like a blind man trying to give out his money to everyone he passes by, MAGA is like a blind man shooting everyone who he passes by.

en it doesn't even make sense. China is visa free with Singapore, which has higher GDP per capita than the US and speaks Chinese. Yet there are very few illegal overstays in Singapore.
I don't know about you but as someone that lived in Singapore before, I can tell you it is highly competitive in Singapore. IMO, at least back in the day, western nations are much less competitive(and probably still is) and you could actually get a decent living with some menial jobs.

PS: Singapore only really allowed Chinese nationals to enter visa free like 2-3 years ago if I recall correctly.
