On the ground, as the US, Israel, and governments of Qatar and other nations in the region would have likely agreed upon.

I hope no one believes that Israel conducted such a strike without the express knowledge and backing of the US, UK, and without pressure/control over Qatar to leave their airspace open to Israel?
Did you actually think I was serious with that question?

Everybody who knows geopolitics know who Qatar is. The state behind Al-Jazeera, a patron of the Muslim Brotherhood, a good "friend" of Iran and the Palestinians. We watch what they do, not what they say.

No offense, but I don't know your posting record well enough to gauge whether that question could be serious or not.

In practical terms, what is happening here, the scamming is a crime, it is fraud.

It would be very hard to justify the proceeds of criminal activity to be GDP, although we can make a case for that.

Take for instance, the narcotics trade. There is a supplier, perhaps that is an importer, then wholesale kingpins, then middle range dealers, then the street corner which is retail that gives people in the hood some jobs.

That is all economic activity, but I do not believe the US government would count that as part of GDP. No one is going to fill out a survey if the government sent them one, or see any tax records or banking information.

Now this is India we are discussing, so who knows? I still would think, no.

:D

The Koreans should have just chose China.

Save themselves a few headaches.

Actually it will count towards Indian GDP because IT scam money doesn’t come in envelopes as cash, that you can easy hide and spend.

When online scam money comes in as digital currency transactions, you need to launder that money or it would be incredibly easy for banks, never mind authorities, to find it and claw it back.

The easiest way to launcher that scam proceeds is to spend it. This is why Apple gift cards are so popular with scammers, as that breaks the chain for authorities and Apple will fight tooth and nail in court to not give a refund to avoid setting a precedent.

But even after you have broken the chain, you still need to turn gift cards and bank transfers into legitimate money you can use without fear of getting caught. That’s where whole industries of layering and integration fake businesses comes into play, all of which need to account for the scam revenue on their tax returns to successfully launder that money.

So if Trump manages to actually materially curb Indian scam centres, it will put a noticeable dint in Indian national GDP.

Although an amusing collateral damage might be that Apple gift cards revenue also suffer an ‘inexplicable’ drop.

No offense. But you jump to conclusions too fast.

Considering the variety of opinions on this forum sometimes, I won't be automatically assuming one's questions come from a place of sarcasm or humour if it lacks an obvious marker.

To make it clear, yes it very much read like you could be serious with that question, so I expressed hope that you or others weren't genuinely wonder what their air force was doing (implying it was a military competence issue rather than a deliberate geopolitical preplanned stand down).

So where was the mighty Qatari Airforce with their Rafales, Eurofighters, and F-15EXs?
This is not an obvious marker to you?

No, because that would naturally be interpreted as skepticism towards Qatari military competence (i.e.: expecting them to defend themselves but Qatar lacking the capability or competence to do so), as opposed to implying a deliberate geopolitical preplanned stand down (i.e.: deliberately standing aside to allow Israel to conduct the strikes)...

Nepal PM resigns as the ongoing anti-govt protest peaks. Protesters are burning the parliament now. This is just days after he was in China.

Smells like a colour revolution to me.

According to NDTV, the Nepali Finance Minister is being beaten by angry mobs on the streets.

Yeah this is why Trump said, F it with China cus America needs to work on domestic security. If the US economy keeps squeezing the poor like it is now, that's him and Melania. This and the Chinese military parade are why he's looking inwards now.

LOL Not inaccurate. Being as strong as it is, China wants to look friendly and unintimidating. As far back as 2008 in the Beijing Olympics, all the mass drummers were told to smile big because they didn't want to intimidate or scare foriegners with militaristically synchronized Chinese drum-beating at the opening ceremony. India, on the other hand, gets more angry and militaristic-looking every time it gets whooped, which is a lot in the past years with 2 incidents in the Himalayas with China and Operation Rafale Tandoori so they've gone off the rails trying to look tough even comparing themselves to the Nazi SS. Yet at the end of the day, they got their asses beat 6-0 by the student of the country that likes to casually draw its fighter jets as anime girls.
