No mention of ZTQ-15 either. Sure, they're unlikely to be deployed to Taiwan, but you can't just assume that.

In contrary, I do expect highly the ZTQ-15 to be deployed against Taiwan, given the highly urbanized regions (meaning narrower streets, and roads, plus bridges that may not be able to sustain heavy loads) along much of the western seaboard, coupled with highly mountainous regions with narrow passes lining the central and eastern regions of the island. The ZTL-15 is also smaller and lighter, meaning easier deployment, logistical and maintenance support than their heavier MBT counterparts.

This explains why apart from the PLAGF, the PLANMC are also fielding them.

Apprently the Qingdao white washes the german colonial period for tourism purposes. I am surprised the CCP even allows this.

The CCP no longer has a victimhood mentality, or believes China is inferior to the West in any way that they can think of that is really important.

Now I do not believe the Chinese are going around saying or thinking that the Chinese are better than other people.

Still, kind of noteworthy that robot conference in Beijing the past week, and it seemed like there was no white company present with a booth at that convention.

What the CCP is good at, is the CCP is very good with politics. They are really sensitive to any changes.

I have this weird sense for a long time ago that when you hear a lot of doom talking crap about China in Western Media is like a signal that something bad is going to happen in the West.

I think it is inertia.

People with a hierarchical view of the world, many of them merely closet racist, are unlikely to change and stop singing the same tune.

In my mind, screw them.

Since the SCS Thread is now locked down, hence posting here for the record.

Today (August 15), the Chinese research ship Xiangyanghong #10 arrived in the waters near Huangyan Island, and was located near the entrance of the lagoon as shown by AIS signal of the research vessel.

The Jai Pagpag media reported that this is a "surprising and unusual development".

The Xiangyanghong #10 research ship is capable of carrying out comprehensive marine environmental observation, exploration, sampling and on-site analysis of the physical ocean, marine geology, geophysics, marine biology, marine chemistry, and marine meteorology in littoral, open ocean and deep sea regions.

Posted by @牧星观海天 on Weibo. Time to consider executing landfill expansion of Huangyan Island + Establish a permanent military outpost there?

The Xiangyanghong #10 is still at Huangyan Island, near its entrance this morning. Posted by @璨言不凝霜 on Weibo.

Such a neutral country that they declared war on the allies in 1941 and invaded China on 1943 with the Japanese.
Thanks very much-despite my being a voracious history reader; in particular the Sino-Japanese Wars,Pacific WAR and Europe Eastern Front I knew almost nothing about those devious Thai that even captured parts of Yunnan province -Xishuangbanna in particular-perhaps they've changed-perhaps not.Wang Jing Wei's ally-that says it all.

No-one worships Germany in Qingdao. People know history, know the Germans (and Japanese) had set up there, know that their presence, although a violation of sovereignty, did bring some benefits, that they were eventually kicked out, and that some of the buildings they left behind have become very distinctive landmarks.

These are treated as historical facts with little emotional baggage, because Qingdao evolved these influences into something quintessentially its own. A clear example is that most foreigners don't even know Tsingtao Beer was originally started by the Germans.
My point exactly-in essence,"when you are weak ,you seek the one master that will beat you less....when you're strong NO ONE fucking touches you" enough said. And fuck the stupid 0-2 Germans-Tsingtao beer or not.

When it comes to China, they don't tend to reinvent the wheel. Like if some foreigner comes and has some good ideas, they will keep it and figure how to use it to benefit the country. There's no need to get butthurt like certain countries and demand purity (which never actually happens btw). For example the Zhao state back in the warring period literally went to the Xiongnu areas and asked if people wanted to join them to help build up a cavalry. It worked very well seeing as how Zhao was said to have the best mounted forces.

Its why Hong Kong still exists. China figured, they built a port that became a international finance center. Why destroy it? Why not use it to benefit the country instead. Shenzhen is literally next door. Maybe theres opportunity for both of them where one does the tech and the other does the financing for it?

As you get older and more experienced, you realize this ideology purity or whatever is just impractical and even guys like Hitler who preached it made loads of exceptions for practical reasons. It sounds nice on the internet on twitter or youtube where most commenters have nothing at stake and don't need to make any far reaching decisions.
Yes,practical pragmatism is one of China's defining features and strengths "as long as the cat catches mice, who cares if it's black or white" one of DXP's famous saying but with the caveat of the cat being Chinese. Also the west has categorized China's system as "an authoritarian ,free-market,free-thinking model under central-gov't control Frankenstein of a system" I think they're jealous.

Always so pretentious and act for cameras by kneeling around.

"Alaska carries the common heritage and history for Russia and US", yea what a funny wording, it is clear you are salty of lost lands.
But the difference here is Russia is dumb enough to sell it off yourselves, while Haishenwai, Outer-Dongbei, ku ye island, Outer mongolia, Tannu uriankhai, Altai uriankhai, Lake Balkhash, tianshan beilu , Suyab (li bai's birthplace) etc. which are massive amount of lands that were all either invaded or forced to balkanise by the russian/ soviet imperialist from China. Not to mention the

and the massive looting of ancient relics that followed. Historical relics of the Xi Xia Dynasty for instance, were completely looted by Russia and hid in their museums. I was a dumb kid who used to think they are a friendly country. (And after all that, the Soviet imperialist still have the sheer audacity to fight against us for the Zhen Bao Island and

The situation today would be even worse if not for people like

"This was typical of the Russian strategy of taking control over a region and negotiating recognition of its sovereignty after the fact.

" This above statement describing Soviet/ Russia's invasion over the different territories of China back then holds true even today. Which is rather amusing to me.

I never cared for "the dead hand", that is not a free ticket for them to do whatever they want with zero consequences. Especially not after the idea of a "golden dome" or similar implementations that can neutralise nuclear warheads. Just wait for their continual decline and the disparity to widen. Like any other countries who stole and still currently occupy our lands, I hope Russia will finally pay for their crimes in due time.
