Modi will visit China for SCO meeting (after getting a whacking by trump?)

After 7 years of acting tough and bashing China, Modi is crawling back to China again. All because he got his ass whooped by big Daddy Trump. When Trump launched his trade wars at China, Modi had been gleefully ganging up on China with Trump. He must really be the clown leader of our times if he thinks he could walk out of China with a deal.

If Modi does meet with Xi. I hope Xi confronts him about his remarks about "small-eyed" Ganesha idols that was imported from China.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday took a swipe at imported goods by referring to “small-eyed” Ganesh idols, urging traders to stop selling foreign products and instead contribute to the country’s growth through the “Make-in-India” initiative to further boost India's economy.
In any case, I don't expect any breakthroughs between India-China ties. Indian naval ships have just patrolled the SCS. India is still supporting the Dalai Lama and his separatist clique. India is still ramping up it's troop deployment at the borders with China. And India have much to answer for its trade barriers and sabotage against Chinese businesses. Modi and India had done too much damage to the relationship by this point.

India have kicked on China when it was under assault by trade wars, military confrontation, and Covid. Now is the begining phase for China to return the favour.

IMO, at least BrahMos is something working. The ones I listed are total sh*tshows...
The Brahmos missile is a modernized P-800 Oniks. It's not an Indian indigenous design. India still relies on imports from Russia for crucial components. So it is definitely not an Indian product.

The Brahmos had been overhyped as a land attack weapon. It's warhead is small, at around 200kg, compared to 300-400kg or more for rival cruise missiles and tactical ballistic missiles. Sure, the Brahmos missiles did slip past Pakistani air defences during Operation Sindoor. But so had the Pakistani Fatah II TBMs been slipping past Indian air defences. I'm confident that the Fatah II TBMs were cheaper and carried bigger warheads than the Brahmos. And that the Indian military had been unable to intercept them too. For the same strike mission, the Fatah II is the more practical and cost effective weapon.

We're in the phase where India who has tried to play everyone is now getting beaten up and no one is going to actually step in to help outside some words.

Can't wait to see this escalate.

One thing you need to remember about modern China is that it leaves emotions at the door when conducting diplomacy. China is not going to fuck India over in retaliation for earlier slights, no matter how tempting that may be, just because Modi hurt their feelings.

So after India has just be rejected and humiliated by Trump and the west, China might just give him a deal. Not because China forgives or forgets his earlier behaviour, but because that deal advances Chinese interests.

China would not have bothered to invite Modi to Beijing if it did not see the prospects of a major deal or diplomatic breakthrough.

Any deal Modi might get will be a good deal for India, but nowhere near as good as what they would have gotten without all the previous bullshit. That’s where his earlier actions are priced in.

Ultimately China will most likely give Modi a deal so that it looks like India is tilting back to China’s camp. The goal is less to actually get India to play on China’s side but more to make the Americans react to that development.

There are broadly speaking two ways America can respond to a new Sino-India detente. Either they need to throw India a bigger bone with more meat on it in a bid to try and lure India back; or it can go full confrontational and try to regime change Modi or even collapse the Indian nations. Either way China wins as America expends resources, political capital and potentially military power neutralising India who were previously literally begging to be America’s minions.

China doesn't forget things easily however. Whatever deal that will be made might be seen as "nice" from China but ultimately its true purpose will only be realized years later when its too late. Maybe India might have thought it got a better deal initially. But they won't know what it really is about until by that time, it won't matter.

If you consider being called "Taiwanese" confrontational, that's your perception, lol
I guess if I called you "Indian", it'd be flame war

Again, you can only hold people back a certain extent, otherwise you become the old USSR.

They scored 7 hits out of like over 50 launched based on their own admission. That’s not really the flex you think it is…
