While USAF tankers and E-3s are consistently stationed at Prince Sultan, the presence of USAF fighter squadrons isn't so steady.
So the arrival of a significant number of non-KSA fighter aircraft could mean
, despite reasonable fears that the Iranians may retaliate by striking targets within KSA.
If the Saudis are willing to put their own necks on the line against Iran, then there's a not unreasonable chance they will "join in on the fun" by conducting air and/or ballistic missile strikes against the Iranians, should they experience Iranian fire.
Could be
very interesting to observe given where the Royal Saudi Strategic Missile Force has been sourcing technical assistance for decades . . .
