Canadian intelligence agencies and media have been taking down Chinese-Canadian politicians one after another.
To be expected from a 5 eyes country. No matter the public backlash, Canada's intelligence agency and military are firmly with the US. Whether that will change in the long term, remains to be determined. I don't see it changing until US economic power dwindles, which acctually may occur sooner than expected.

Putin has good insight who he thinks are real Russian. the rest will need transformation or expelled. Putin may have shifted further to the Right after getting this Ukraine experience. 2025 is not the same as 2018.

Yes China is a grave threat to the US and the West because it has manufacturing capabilities they can't compete with. It doesn't matter if it's with guns or a screwdriver, it's a threat to their control of everything and they have to do something drastically about it. They don't like it at all that they need China for something... for anything. But they think it's perfectly all right if the world was 100% dependent on them. They think they can convince the Chinese to volunteer to be their slaves as much as they think the world will follow them blindly into a war with China. They hate it that Chinese make just one cent out of every dollar when someone buys an iPhone. If it's not war, what the West expects will be essentially by definition... slavery. Of course the way they think something as simple as calling anything but slavery will make it not slavery and then no one has the right call them a criminal. They won't be making money from your labor directly. They'll just make you transfer the money you make to their bank account and it'll be nothing like what was done when West had slaves before. In their minds then it ain't it and perfectly okay to do.
When the EU demanded China hand over its superior EV technology so they can make competitive EVs for themselves and get nothing in return for it, what do you think they were doing? When US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said countries around the world should start writing checks to the US Treasury for nothing, what do you think he was saying? It was about paying tribute to the self-anointed masters of the world... that they raped to get where they're at today. Yes they're going to forget that part just like forgetting they just want everyone to be their slaves.
