The nominations for the second Trump administration are radically different than his first. Time will tell how it plays out, but it doesn't appear to be business as usual.
The first term Trump was just getting his feet wet in politics and still tried to have some semblance of normalcy and appealing to the establishment with his picks. Since then, MAGA's had four years to organize and formulate a strategy to skirt the rules in order to stack the government with as many MAGA ideaologues as possible, Trump's cabinet picks consisting entirely of loyalists regardless of merit is the opening salvo of the plan's implementation.
Another weird Trump pick. The charges may have been dropped but this guy was once accuse of child/sex trafficking.
The same party that started the Pizzagate conspiracy theory, which even inspired a crazy dude to shoot up a pizza hut or something like that, now has a man under investigation for pedophilia as the nation's top prosecutor.
If by 2026 America is still "light green" on the global corruption index then political polling might as well make room in its coffin for its new roommate in hell, Western quality of life indexes.
