Let's not get our hopes up too much. The US will no doubt find ways to block this by threatening, bribing, and blackmailing as many politicians as needed.

Assuming everything is running 24/7, if each production line in the factory is popping out a new round every 10 seconds (meaning the interval between finishing each round, obviously not the total time to produce one), you need 12 production lines to hit that 100k rounds a day. If the facility is large enough, it's totally feasible.

At the 4:22 mark, they said the factory made 600 cars a day.

More likely ran out of 155 mm shells. Imagine China really helped Russia - the war would be over in a month. China opened this 155 mm shell factory to the public, so it's technically obsolete probably. It produces 100,000 shells a day, and it's just one factory.

I do not doubt that China is capable of producing 100k 155mm shells a day. But the video footage in that tweet is suspect. It recycled lots of footage from this YouTube video about a US shell factory over a year ago. Just watch the first minute and we could see many recycled footage.

Is China capable of producing 100k 155mm shells a day? Yes, I have no doubt about that. But is it doing that right now? That I'm not so sure. China is still running a peacetime economy today, unlike Russia.

I don't think it's growing a spine, but quite the opposite it's more like fear of one's life or survival instinct. SK intervening in Taiwan means facing the combined forces of NK, China and possibly Russia since Russia recently signed MDT with NK.
