Modi seems to be softening the rhetoric with China, MFA had this to say:

Maybe those rumours about overwhelming PLA win at the border recently with electronic warfare was true?
It was in recent days from either Shilao or Yankee IIRC, they said recently there was a flair up at the border where Indian Army attempted an EW offensive after feeling confident because they purchased a lot of EW gear. However PLA showed them some colour and made them realize the gap that still exists between the two in EW realm.
The best way to have lasting peace with India is through strength. The Indians only respects strength, not goodwill or chivalry. Show goodwill to them, and they regard it as weakness. Jayant Bhandari and another vlogger who travels to India have mentioned that you cannot be nice in India. Smiling, saying thanks, and acknowledging are often interpreted as weakness by Indians, making them more emboldened to bully, scam, or worse. When travelling in India, you need to act like an A-hole, it might just save you from nasty things. Women are routinely targeted because they were regarded as easy prey. When Indian men attack, the more numbers they can gather, the more emboldened they become. That is why many cases of rape in India were gang rapes. That is why the Galwan murders happened, when Indian Jawans outnumbered a small PLA negotiation force.

That is why for China - India relations (maybe also with PH), China has to behave different from its usual diplomatic self. The PLA's counterattack during the Galwan incident ironically helped to keep the peace with India. Before that, Indian provocations were getting increasingly bolder. Since then, those live fire exercises held by the Western Theater Command have also been quite successful in deterring more Indian aggression. This time, I hope that the rumoured EW duel was true. It's even more deterrence effect against the Indians.

In the future, I would like to see more PLA show of strength in the air and seas with regards to India. For example, conducting naval exercises in the Indian Ocean to demonstrate the PLAN's strike and defence capabilities against any hypothetical blockade of the Malacca Strait. Or tracking Indian submarines in the Indian Ocean.

"Regulators are assessing whether the bank has sufficiently investigated the identities of prospective clients, the sources of their wealth, and how it monitors their financial activity, the report said.
Some of the probes are also focusing on international clients, the report added"

This is interesting; banks like Morgan Stanley tend to be the precious 'make work' pools for the failsons and faildaughters and scions of the american ruling class. How much of this is powerplay amongst the elites of the US ruling class?

Or rather, is the USG in panic mode about the stagflation that dare not speak its name and that gold has been increasing against the USD?

It's an election year, so here is your typical American politician logic

“We cannot allow China to bring its government-backed cheating to the American auto industry”

IMO China should hope for a strong leader in Japan and S. Korea because only then can these countries hope to break from the yoke of US hegemony and realign with the new global order emerging with China in the forefront.
It took Qing two invasions to flip Joseon away from Ming. It took Japan one war to flip Korea away from Qing. It took US one war to flip South Korea away from Japan. The only way you can flip a vassal is to win a war with their suzerain. Korea just sides with the victor, you have to earn it not by words or trade but through violent struggle.

Didn't take any violence for Eastern Europe to flip to the US. A vassal can flip outside of direct military struggle if two conditions are fulfilled 1) the suzerain cannot guarantee protection and 2) the prospective suzerain can offer more benefits to the current ruling class than the current suzerain can.
