Recently, Anhui Quantum Information Engineering Technology Research Center and HKUST Guodun Quantum Technology Co., Ltd. jointly announced that the domestic dilution refrigerator ez-Q Fridge completed the performance test after being delivered to the customer. The results showed that the actual operating indicators of the equipment reached similar products. It has reached the international mainstream level and has become the first commercially available and mass-produced dilution refrigerator for superconducting quantum computers in China.
The dilution refrigerator is a key core equipment in building superconducting quantum computers. It can provide ultra-low temperature environment close to absolute zero for superconducting quantum computing chips. Its market has been occupied by international manufacturers such as Finland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In order to solve this "stuck neck" problem, domestic joint teams including the University of Science and Technology of China and USTC Guodun Quantum, the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Electronics Technology, and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation are all actively tackling the problem. However, domestic dilution refrigerators that can be mass-produced and put into use are still scarce, and most of them are still in the laboratory stage.
In the second half of 2023, HKUST Guodun Quantum delivered domestic dilution refrigerator products to two scientific research units. After many months of testing by customers, the equipment has been running continuously and stably for a long time, reaching the international advanced level.

Damn. Only about two years ago, maybe three, when they were discussing that Google quantum computer, they said China was not able to make one of these type of freezing machines, to do the superconducting.
