Nah i think its important to let those traitorous loser factions know that hiding in the west isn't safe either. Just like Stalin/soviet union hunted down Trotsky.
China certainly threatens and influences overseas people who are publicly critical of the PRC. But I can't think of any example of assassination.

Assassinating foreign based critics is much more common in Western "democracies" because they can't control the media. China doesn't need to kill anyone to silence them in domestic media

I honestly don’t really care that much but this is a seriously weak move from India. How weak is your national identity and sovereignty that you feel the need to assassinate separatists that don’t even live at home? Dalai Lama has been peddling bullshit for decades and China hasn’t even bothered to touch him. And he’s heaps more influential than this guy.
They thought the Collective West needed them so much that they can get away with murder.....lol Now the penny had dropped and they realized that they can't escape the Sepoy legacy their former master bestowed on them. ;)

I think India can get away with it in the end because everyone important wants it to blow over. The Saudis got rehabilitated quite quickly with a few scapegoats. Not sure if Hindu nationalism can make similar moves if they're already celebrating "Masterstroke" Modi.

There's still a good chance a desperate Trudeau pulls all the stops to get friendly countries to condemn India and accidently drag down Biden and the rest in the process. Being forced to self-sabotage their India strategy is good popcorn especially after G20.

But if these friendly countries ignore Canada for the sake of India, humiliating them yet again? Perhaps even better popcorn.
One of the things Canadians won't forget for a long time.

Dalai Lama is still spiritual head of Tibetan Buddhism and alleged living incarnation of Guan Yin pusa. I doubt the govt wants Tibet to erupt in flames or be accused of killing a living buddha... it's easier to just outlast the 14th and install the 15th reincarnation in accordance with ritual and religious rites like Golden Urn to restore influence.

In contrast , Hardeep Singh Nijjar could be mistake as a rando 4chan shit poster, not from nobility or religious leadership background. Indian Khashsoggi 2.0 that attracts faux outrage and virtue signalling by Westerners.

Yes BUT MBS had oil, what about Modi? Saudi Arabia is considered as an Strategic ally by the US due to the Petrodollar while India dilly dallying, the collective west will always considered them a fair weather friend.

It's honestly funny seeing pro-india shills like this dude having a crisis of faith because of recent events, and is now being turned against by his own hindu nationalist fanbase. Almost makes me want to grab the popcorn lol.
Side note: There's some pro-india shills on Twitter who also straight up pretend this doesn't exist such as a certain self-hating singaporean lol

China did assassinate someone on US soil. Back in the 70s or 80s a writer published a book critical of Chiang Ching-Kuo and ROC got so butt hurt that they sent an assassin to kill the writer. Intense US pressure following the incident indirectly led to the “democratization” of Taiwan.

I do not see any consequences for India even if there is official proof of India's involvement. The main reason is the US. Right now, US needs India more than Canada. The EU on the other hand will likely have a strong reaction. Anyway, China should be a silent observer and let it play it out.
