Fly to space and fly back on earth and land on the US soil. US diplomats are getting dumber by the day. There are better place to find and extract rare earth which doesn't involve a completely landlocked country.

More to the point, why are the mongols desperate for another repeat of the Ming and Qing expeditions to Outer Mongolia?

Liberal democracy in america is supposed to take its model of the Roman Republic...down to using mobs to intimidate the supporters of your opponents and using the state apparatus to imprison your opponents and their supporters.

Not sure where exactly to put this. However, this has been debated for quite a while on the web, do you call it a copycat of the Defender?

URBANISATION IN CHINA IS UNFINISHED

Urbanisation in China is unfinished, furnishing expenditure as a percentage of disposable income is still lower than in Japan, the US and India, and the more desperate property developers are to sell apartments, the more they may try to entice buyers by installing fancy toilets.
The product, in all its intimate cultural and technological complexity, stands as a proxy for a type of middle-class, property-linked consumer spending whose relevance to the wider questions around the Chinese economy has never felt stronger.

Energy Sec Granholm secretly consulted top CCP energy official before SPR releases

Jianhua was an executive at the state-run China Petrochemical Corporation which purchased oil released from US reserves last year

"Collusion with the CCP on oil" Comrade Biden's cover is blown!
The more I read about Anglo media and politics the more I realize how self-defeating and utterly moronic it is. They will mald at China for the trade deficit, for "not buying their stuff" while simultaneously attacking and blocking China for buying their stuff. It is not enough China want to buy their stuff, they must only buy their tech free raw material(nobody wants US manufactured goods outside of hi-tech, f off) while not even looking or exchanging words.

Even Trump knew that you need good business relation and trust to narrow the trade deficit, that is something that the rest of the US apparently do not understand. I can say without a single hint of doubt that Trump, as foolish as he may appear, might be one of the more sensible president in an Empire in terminal decline, every President after him would be too weak to override the influence of random radical troll congressman.

Buying US things was never controversial until the angloids themselves made it controversial and now the angloids have completely proven themselves to be unreliable suppliers. There is no scenario that "Free" Anglo media will not destroy their own country, the process has already began in the United States itself as they turn on one another, it will spread to the rest of the world.

The line between fact and opinion in public discourse has been eroding, and with it the public's ability to have arguments and find common ground based in fact.
Put more bluntly, politicians lie. So just as it is hard to parse fact from opinion in today's information environment, it is also difficult to discern when politicians are knowingly lying and when they are deceiving themselves.
Truth Decay makes it more difficult for intelligence analysts to perform the core function of their job, collecting and analyzing data.

I had a look across the political spectrum to get a feel for what each major party's supporters are saying and basically:

ALP (the current government) side - Albanese is handling Australian-China relationships much better than Scomo and this is another win by Labor, hopefully wine to come soon as well

Liberals (the opposition) side - China is doing this so that this same card could be played again in the future and Labor is falling for it. We should diversify our exports to other countries.

It's curious, neither side are pitching this as a straight up victory in trade war, both side of the political spectrum seems to believe the decision was firmly in China's hand and quite a lot of people seem to wish for return to normal trade relations in other areas to follow (wine, tourism, education etc).

I would've thought there would be more chest beating over this. From China perspective this could be United Front "ally with lesser enemy to strike at the main enemy" type deal to cause rift within 5 Eyes, in additional to any pragmatic reasons due to price fluctuation and Ukraine war.
