You take this news at face value why? You don't think the US would make up charges against Chinese-Americans, especially during this political environment?
Meh I could see them having buyers remorse about joining US forces.
What these sailors provided is just very elementary information. These information isn't highly sensitive or has high value. Many sailors probably would have posted such information in their chat groups to brag. Unless, this Chinese spy agent is looking to build a long term relationship with these guys and hoping these guys in the future could provide more valuable information. Paying for such information isn't worth it.

Either the spy agent is just fishing for any information or the charge is trumped up. However, it does look bad for Chinese Americans either ways. Remember that so many Chinese American scientists were falsely prosecuted for no reason just because of their ethnicity. Many of them were only able to clean their name after their career and lives are ruined. Right now, if FBI or CIA decided to go after soft target such as these little guys, it would further incite prejudice and hatred against Chinese Americans.
Intelligence war on America means being everywhere, at all times. As long as China has resources, they should keep pushing on all sectors, because it's inevitable that some areas will give way. Staying ahead here is one of China's best tools, and the main way how Beijing has decided to fight the cold war. Ever thought that most global developments seem to favor China? That doesn't come for free, there is a whole massive infrastructure dedicated to working behind the scenes.

China has no obligation to give a shit about "Chinese" Americans. Those are just Americans lol. If they're disgruntled because the American government doesn't treat their own citizens right, China can exploit them. If the US regime is going to ruin the lives of skilled Americans because they're the wrong color, that's an unforced error, in a cold war where they're already not doing so well.

You'll see the 1 attempt where US could catch some informants, not the 9 others where the US didn't know. China should keep probing.

American man gone to Singapore to FIND OUT. Um if they offer a plead deal and you dont take it while deciding to represent yourself...

IMO China/Hong Kong needs caning laws as well for foreigners disrespecting social harmony.

He is a typical white American Karen, there're many like him in the US. It's funny when self-absorbed and delusional whites then try to say that Chinese are the worst tourists, lol.

“In a shock move, she declined.”

BJP politicians move to the US to get a fresh start in their careers.
Maryland's Lieutenant Governor,

, is facing political scrutiny after accusations of aggressive politics and accepting donations from Hindu nationalist groups. An investigation by The Independent revealed campaign filings indicating over $110,000 in donations from pro-BJP or Hindutva groups, contradicting Miller's previous denials.

But the Taiwanese were there first:
Barnaby Yeh, a Taiwanese American from Maryland says that he founded a political group that was eventually driven out of Democratic Party politics by an aggressive social media backlash, after they questioned Miller on the same topic. Yeh has since moved to Taiwan.

by Ray Matsumiya

"On Aug. 6, 1945, my grandfather rushed into Hiroshima City shortly after the first atomic bombing in history.

As a first responder, he intimately witnessed the horrors of nuclear war that forever changed his perception of the world and his role in it.

Surprisingly, instead of being consumed by anger or sorrow, he devoted his life toward promoting peace.

As Hiroshima rebuilt after the bombing, survivors like my grandfather helped shape an extraordinary culture of peace that permeates every facet of life in the city.

The lesson of Hiroshima for my grandfather was to never forget what happened but to also refuse to become trapped in his feelings of loss, grief, and anger.

Instead, he looked toward the future and joined the “greatest generation” of Japanese who emerged from the ashes of World War II to rebuild Japan.

For the remainder of his life, this lesson of Hiroshima provided him with the resiliency to work toward making his vision of a thriving, modern Japan a reality..."

At this point you're not trying to actually have a productive discussion but is now simply just trolling and trying to incite an emotional response.

What are you even trying to really prove here? What's your angle? The first Sino-Japanese War of 1895 proved that the time of the Qing Dynasty and it's corrupt policies made China a complete backward in terms of keeping with the technological advances of the time, most especially in the revolution of military affairs (RMA). Imperial Japan was indeed successful with their reforms during the Meiji era in modernizing Japan especially its military to ensure that it would not be enslaved or colonized by the Imperial western countries that had taken over key importance area of China. But was Japan right in it's hubristic efforts and criminal activities with its barbarity and genocidal actions during the subsequent years with its expansionist actions against China's then Manchuria region and beyond, leading up to the official announcement of WWII?

How exactly is Japan the better race or superior race than Chinese? In what capacity especially in today's contemporary time? Do list them since am quite curious where Japan leads or is that superior to the current China.

You seem really hell bent on trying to prove that Japan was the victim of WWII and were also justified in their actions especially the laughable notion of Japanese racial superiority. Are you of Japanese descent? Perhaps a Chinese that worships at the altar of Japan and or worse a white dude that simps for everything Japanese.
