You may include Saudi Arabia, the gulf countries , Algeria and possibly Egypt. My reason they know what their national interest is and will fight tooth and nail to achieved it, I may include Turkiye BUT Edrogan dream of resurrecting the Ottoman Empire is a major stumbling block.Spot on. BRICS/SCO is all about the power of China and Russia. Rest are just add-ons. Remove Russia and China from BRICS/SCO and the organisation is irrelevant.
China and Russia together provide the economic, financial, technological, military, diplomatic, natural resources, geopolitical power. China’s greatest ally is Russia. Russia’s greatest ally is China.
As for creating a trading currency, China and Russia should create one together first and other countries can join it whenever they are ready.
India, Brazil, South Africa are easily manipulated by the West. They will be obstacles to creating anything that curtails the power of the West.
Outside China and Russia, I would only trust Iran.
I don't want to sound arrogant BUT without India ,BRICS will really take off, you have to understand the pressure Brazil and South Africa is under, with China and Russia on board they were given a platform and have a voice BUT India who is dreaming to be a superpower, I think they overstate their importance instead of working to create one.The question really should be, if BRICS and SCO didn't exist, would India be even more anti China? If so, then India's participation in BRICS and SCO is useful.
China doesn't and shouldn't really care about what India thinks or how anti-China it is. China is focused on national rejuvenation and great harmony for mankind. BRICS and SCO are tools to achieve China's primary objectives, not to placate crab bucket mentality neighbours. If the cost is to exclude India (approximately 1/6 of global population) from major organizations than so be it, reality is messy. The question really should be, if BRICS and SCO didn't exist, would India be even more anti China? Bro India need attention and China ignoring her is the reason for her tantrums, you know the Chinese mindset, we don't indulge in useless debates and arguments.China doesn't and shouldn't really care about what India thinks or how anti-China it is. You mean: Expand BRICS in a way that will suit the West. Because excluding Saudi Arabia only serves West's purpose, thus my "India is a Trojan Horse" comment. My suggestion was simple: expand BRICS in a way that will suit everyone.
It's actually true, India resents China for ignoring her. Many of us on this forum finds this irrational, but perhaps its more rational than we'd like to admit. See this interesting zhihu answerBro India need attention and China ignoring her is the reason for her tantrums, you know the Chinese mindset, we don't indulge in useless debates and arguments.
