The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) has successfully conducted an integrated live-firing during Exercise Forging Sabre 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. The exercise was witnessed by Chief of Air Force, Major-General (MG) Ng Chee Meng and other senior SAF officers.
Exercise Forging Sabre 2011 is the third exercise in the Forging Sabre series. It involved over 450 airmen and soldiers, including commando ground surveillance troops. Military aircraft and advanced strike munitions were also deployed.
The exercise provided an excellent opportunity for the SAF to validate its integrated strike capabilities in a realistic and challenging environment, said MG Ng, who noted that the exercise was a "very complex operation".
