Gone to Jamaica when my dad was working there 30+ years ago, there was a lot of seasonnal workers going to Ontario and it continue to today. They were stories of them braving the cold in the north in local newspapers while they were picking fruits near Niagara on the lake in summer...

Maybe they bring these jacket back and created some kind of fashion, lol !
Yeah that is still the case, but these are locals.

There are a lot of Jamaicans in Toronto. In fact the Museum's Michael Lee-Chin Crystal (it is a structure) is named after a prominent Jamaican Canadian (and obviously with Chinese heritage)
